조종사노조 "사측이 휴직 제안 무시" vs 대표 "노조가 먼저 반대했다"

(서울=연합뉴스) 장하나 기자 = 이스타항공이 재매각을 추진하는 과정에서 직원 605명에게 정리해고를 통보하면서 조종사노조가 반발하고 나서는 등 갈등이 확산하고 있다.

조종사노조는 사측이 무급 순환휴직 등의 제안을 검토하지 않고 정리해고를 단행했다고 비난하고 있지만 사측은 노조가 먼저 무급휴직에 반대했다며 노조가 사실관계를 왜곡하고 있다는 입장이다.

최종구 이스타항공 대표는 9일 설명자료를 내고 "회사가 지난 7월 무급휴직을 추진했으나 박이삼 노조위원장이 '추후 이스타항공이 끝내 파산할 경우 체당금에 손해를 본다'며 무급휴직 수용 불가 이유를 제시하며 반대입장으로 돌아섰다"며 "근로자대표와 직원들도 같은 이유로 반대해 결국 사측은 무급휴직 추진을 철회했다"고 말했다.

최 대표는 "노조와 근로자대표의 무급휴직 거부 이후 최후의 생존방안으로 재매각을 추진했다"며 "인수 의향을 보인 측에서 비용감축을 위한 '선 인력조정'을 요구해 조종사노조가 참여한 근로자대표회의에서 이번 조치를 진행하게 됐다"고 덧붙였다.

당시 박이삼 위원장이 "재고용 보장이 된다면 근로자들이 일단 퇴직해 실업급여와 체당금을 수령해 생활하고 있는 것이 좋은 방법"이라고 의견을 제시했고 이에 회사가 경영 정상화 이후 전원 재고용을 약속했다는 것이 최 대표의 주장이다.

이스타항공은 지난 7일 박 위원장을 포함한 직원 605명에게 정리해고를 개별 통보했다. 이에 앞서 희망퇴직 신청을 받아 98명이 희망퇴직하기도 했다.

이에 노조는 8일과 9일 청와대와 전북도청 앞에서 잇따라 기자회견을 열고 "노조가 정리해고만은 막기 위해 지난 2월부터 받지 못한 체불 임금 일부를 포기하고 무급 순환휴직을 제안하는 등 회사에 고통을 분담하는 방안을 제시했다"며 "그러나 경영진은 전혀 검토하지 않고 운항직 170여명을 포함해 605명을 정리해고했다"고 비판했다.

노조는 "사측은 위기를 극복하고 고용을 유지하기 위한 노력은 눈곱만큼도 하지 않은 채 정리해고를 단행했다"며 "정리해고를 철회하고 '진짜 오너'인 이상직 더불어민주당 의원이 이번 사태를 책임져야 한다"고 주장하고 있다.

심상정 정의당 대표도 9일 의원총회에서 "212억의 재산을 가진 이상직 의원은 일자리 유지를 위한 어떤 책임도 지지 않고 5억원의 고용보험료조차 떼먹으며 노동자들이 고용유지지원금조차 받을 수 없도록 했다"고 비난했다.

노조는 육아휴직 카드도 꺼내 들었다. 육아휴직 기간에는 해고가 금지된다는 점을 이용한 것이다.

노조는 전날 사측에 공문을 보내 "이번에 정리해고 대상자로 통지된 직원이라도 육아휴직을 신청한 경우 회사가 이를 수리해야 한다"며 "정리해고 대상자에게 육아휴직을 부여한다고 해서 회사에 경제적인 피해는 없으므로 육아휴직 신청이 들어오는 경우 차질없이 받아들여야 한다"고 주장했다.

사측은 이번 인력조정은 재매각 추진을 위한 고육책이라는 입장이다.

최 대표는 "인력조정 추진계획은 박 위원장도 참여한 근로자대표회의에서 수차례 논의 끝에 '정리해고 기준안'을 합의하는 등 고통스럽고 힘겨웠지만 나름 충분한 협의를 거쳐 진행됐다"며 "노조의 근거 없는 비방은 사태 해결에 아무런 도움을 주지 못하며 오히려 회사의 정상화에 방해가 된다"고 강조했다.

이스타항공은 이르면 이달 말 우선협상 인수 기업을 선정해 10월 중 M&A를 진행할 예정이다.
