[2보] ECB, 금리 동결…팬데믹 채권 매입규모 유지

(베를린=연합뉴스) 이광빈 특파원 = 유럽중앙은행(ECB)이 10일(현지시간) 정책금리를 동결했다.

ECB는 이날 독일 프랑크푸르트에서 통화정책회의를 연 뒤 보도자료를 통해 기준금리를 현행 0%로 유지하고, 예금금리와 한계대출금리를 역시 각각 현행 -0.50%와 0.25%로 유지한다고 밝혔다.

ECB는 인플레이션이 목표치인 2%에 충분히 근접한 수준에 수렴할 때까지 금리를 현행 수준이나 더 낮은 수준으로 유지할 것으로 기대한다고 말했다.

ECB는 코로나19로 인한 경제적 충격에 대응하기 위해 계획한 1조3천500억 유로 규모의 '팬데믹긴급매입프로그램'(PEPP)을 계획대로 계속 집행하기로 했다.
